Internet and Web Development

Corporate Communications has been on-line since 1994. Originally the Net was great for transferring files to and from clients in the US, using the likes of CompuServe rather than a courier. Now of course things have moved on a bit and the cloud is everything.

I specialise in the production of fully-custom corporate solutions rather than web sites per se. Just about every user interface uses a content management system or console to enable non-technical staff to update content really easily, be it via a web page, their desk-top or mobile device.

My platform of choice is PHP & MySQL running on Unix/Linux Apache servers (LAMP), these are favourite tools, but the tools used will always be the best tools to produce the required result.

I like SMARTY and JQuery, I don't like Word Press, Joomla, Drupal or any of the other bloated open-source offerings, I'm sorry, yes they are great, but I don't like them and don't use them.

The whole package can be supplied if required, domain, hosting, email, e-commerce, databases, custom applications, FTP, DNS and all the other twaddle and acronyms (DONGJAC) that you really shouldn't have to worry about.

  • Custom CMS and control panels
  • Custom message boards / forums
  • I/O to and from back office systems / RPC
  • Search engine optimisation / visibility evaluation
  • HTML newsletter / eBulletin systems
  • Web-site salvage
  • Domain management & orphaned domain retrieval

Corporate Communications currently manages in excess of 104 web-sites.
